The stories behind our food

Falafel with warm pitta, tahini and Israeli salad

Falafel

A delicious journey through culture and time. Falafel has its roots deep in ancient Egypt. Over hundreds of years it spread through the region, and this humble meal became a staple of Middle Eastern cooking. Each culture has added its own twist. Join us in the celebration!

Moroccan vegetable tagine with couscous tabbouleh

Tagine

Tagine has its roots deep in Berber culture, in the old customs of sharing and community that my Safta was fully immersed in. Ours is cooked slowly, served warm, and made for a table where everyone is welcome.

Lebanese couscous tabbouleh with parsley, mint and tomato

Tabbouleh

Tabbouleh is loved across the Levant, especially in Lebanon. It also has rich connections to North Africa and the Berber regions, where fresh herbs and grains are staples. Ours is vibrant and green, full of parsley, tomato, spring onion and the minty zestiness that wakes everything up.

Food for sharing

Our food is inspired by the flavours and traditions of Morocco, Israel, Lebanon, the Levant and the wider Mediterranean. It is made to be passed around the table: the kind of meal where conversation flows, people linger, and everyone leaves a little more at peace.
